Dr. Leheta completed his undergraduate work at Wayne State Univerty, then in 1983 received his medical degree from Nikolaus Copernicus Academy of Medicine in Krakow, Poland (Jagiellonian University Medical College). His postgraduate education included training in Internal Medicine, Residency in Neurology at University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, Illinois from 1986-1989, and a Fellowship in Epilepsy and Neurophysiology at Rush Presbyterian – St. Luke’s Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois, from 1989-1990. During his training as an Epileptologist, he received several honors, including the Junior Investigator Travel Awardee of the American Epilepsy Society (1990) and the Epilepsy Foundation of America, Merritt-Putnam Clinical Research Fellowship Award (1988). He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as the American Society of Neuroimaging Comprehensive Neurosonology examination. In addition to his appointment as President of Michigan Neurology Institute, he is Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan.

Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Our phone lines are open until 4:00 p.m., but we see patients as late as 5:00 p.m.

We do diagnostic testing M-F during the day.

The schedule for our accredited sleep labs are evenings and weekends.
